The Role: Build the Stripe for Land Access

Engineering Transactional Scale We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to be a core contributor to our backend platform. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining the microservices that power our multi-jurisdictional compliance checks and real-time access transactions, ensuring the platform is robust and scalable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy highly reliable, performant Node.js or Python backend services running on AWS (Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB/RDS).
  • Own the development of APIs for the core marketplace, ensuring low latency and high availability for both adventurers and landowners.
  • Implement DevOps best practices, including automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
  • Participate in technical design and architectural reviews, advocating for resilient, scalable, and cost-effective solutions.
  • Debug complex production issues across the full stack and proactively identify performance bottlenecks.

Your Profile

  • 5+ years of professional experience in building and shipping scalable backend services.
  • Expertise in at least one modern language (Node.js/TypeScript, Python, Go) and advanced experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Deep practical knowledge of AWS cloud computing (Lambda, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, VPC networking).
  • Experience with building and consuming RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and comfort working in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of German or French is a strong plus.
