The Role: Build the Stripe for Land Access

Upholding Regulatory Integrity The Compliance Manager will be responsible for overseeing WildPass's regulatory environment, ensuring adherence to complex, evolving European land-use laws, data privacy standards (GDPR), and cross-border commercial regulations. This role is essential for maintaining our core value proposition of eliminating landowner liability.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret regulatory changes in core European markets (e.g., Germany, Switzerland, Austria) related to land access, liability, and recreational use.
• Work directly with the legal team to translate regulatory requirements into automated compliance logic within the platform’s Compliance Engine.
• Develop, implement, and manage internal policies and training programs to ensure all commercial and product activities meet legal standards.
• Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate compliance vulnerabilities, particularly concerning data processing (GDPR).
• Serve as the primary internal contact for compliance inquiries, due diligence, and regulatory reporting.

Your Profile

• 4+ years of experience in a compliance, legal, or regulatory affairs role, preferably within a European tech, FinTech, or regulatory-heavy environment.
• Strong, demonstrated knowledge of GDPR and deep familiarity with European public/private land access laws or liability frameworks.
• Excellent ability to communicate complex legal requirements clearly to technical and commercial teams.
• Fluency in English and German and professional proficiency in at least one other major European language (e.g., Italian, French, Spanish).
• Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and comfort working in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
• A meticulous approach to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest ethical and legal standards.
